32 Lodging Spaces

Only 25 air spaces

Double Occupancy    $2210.00 per person     Single occupancy     $3070.00 per person

It will be three years since we traveled to Mammoth Mountain.  Mammoth Mountain is a lava dome situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, just 167 miles south of Reno, NV.  The Ski Resort boasts the highest summit elevation in the state of California at 11, 053 ft.  Base elevation is 7,953 ft.   Mammoth receives an average of 400 inches of annual snowfall and has 3500 skiable acres.  There are 25 lifts (14 high speed) servicing 154 runs of which 65% are beginner/intermediate.  This mountain has something for everyone.  It has above the tree line slopes and trails that through the trees.  Restaurants are available at various points on the slopes and are easily reached by skiers.  Put that together with our ski in/ski out accommodations and you have the perfect trip. The resort has several distinct base areas: Main Lodge, Canyon Lodge, The Village, Eagle Lodge and The Mill.  We will be staying next to Eagle Lodge just a few steps from our condos in the Juniper Springs Resort complex.  From the condos we can ski right to the Eagle Express Lift and either stay on the green runs by the condos or head for the middle and far side of the mountain.

The town of Mammoth Lakes, California, offers up restaurants, bars, and plenty to do for those seeking a nightlife scene.  The resort provides a great starting point to explore the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is only about an hour drive from Yosemite National Park or 30 minutes to nearby June Mountain.

Our lodging is at the Juniper Springs Condos, in 2BR/2BA units, ski in/out on the Lupin beginner slope.  Wear the provided bathrobe to the two outdoor hot tubs or outdoor pool.  We also have access to the fitness center, laundry facilities, and game room.  Complimentary Wi-Fi internet is provided.

Aspen Mountain – ski the runs that hosted World Cup races or gladed powder stashes.  This is a mountain for seasoned skiers on 675 acres with 64 miles of runs.  The longest run is 3 miles, and the vertical rise is 3, 267 feet.  With no beginner runs, 48% is more difficult, 26% most difficult and 26% expert.

Aspen Highlands – Enjoy uncrowded slopes, great skiing, and views over the valley to the snow-covered Maroon Bells.  There are 1,040 acres of skiable terrain, a vertical rise of 3,365 feet, 84 trails with longest being 3.5 miles.  Beginner skiers will find 18% of the slopes rated easiest, then 30% more difficult, 16% most difficult and 36 % expert.

Buttermilk is the smallest of the mountains with only 470 acres and a vertical rise of 2,030 feet.  It has 21 miles of trails with the longest 3 miles.  This is a great mountain for beginners with 35% of the slopes rated easiest, 39% more difficult, 21% most difficult and 5% expert.

Lodging is at Top of the Village Condos, a club favorite.  It is located slope side and is ski in/ski out via a run rated “green”.   Accommodations are in 2BR/2Bath condos.  Specific bed sizes (kings, queens, twins) can be requested but are NOT guaranteed.  There is an on-demand shuttle from the condo.
